Day 3 – Not much to report today
As I said yesterday I’ve cut my workload down a bit as I’ve got other commitments that I need to devote time to. So today all I’ve done is 5 articles and submitted them to Ezinearticles and I’ve created a Squidoo lens. I’m loving Squidoo, after reading a WSO on how to make $250 extra per week on top of my Bum Marketing efforts I’ve been building a few, and now have six quite highly ranked Squidoo lenses. I’m starting to get some traffic but no sales as yet. Even if I never get a sale from there though I can see their potential in gaining valuable traffic for free.
I heard of a site called www.gather.com which is being used by a few Bum Marketers. Anyone here heard of it or using it? I haven’t checked out whether or not you can post articles with affiliate links but I may take a look at it later. It’s got a Google Pr 6 which is the same as Goarticles.

Martin –
I love how your links work. I’ve never seen that before. Is that some sort of a WordPress widget? I have to figure that out. I may need to add that to some of my blogs.
Mike,
I have no idea how it actually works as this is my first wordpress blog (I’ve always used blogger before). This is one of the templates that came with wordpress when I signed up for the account. Maybe try contacting Andreas Viklund the template designer and asking him, there’s a link for his website at the bottom of the page.
Hi Martin,
Interesting and nice work.
Did you build those 5 squidoo sites based on your keyword phrases you originally selected? Are these squidoo sites “capture”, feeder or catchment sites for your main BUM marketing sites – in other words to feed traffic to your main sites or they are functioning as individual sale sites as well?
If the squidoo sites are getting traffic but no sales, and if they are meant as feeder sites only, and serve no function to close sales for you, then there is no necessity to review your squidoo sites to include attractive conversion factors so that these sites do convert your visitors to sales.
Perhaps you can tell us more about how these squidoo sites are going to fit in your overall bum marketing plan. It would be very interesting to see what role these squidoo sites play, and whether they are “critical” to your success in the overall bum marketing plan. My simple BUM thinking is to concentrate more on those things that are critical to your plan, to accelerate sales. What do you think?
Cheers and thanks!
Another car crash?
Martin?
Please tell us more!
I know the whole car crash thing was a hoax the first time. He was gone for a while, and I predicted that he would come back with some sort of big story explaining it.
I suppose if he ever comes back here, there will be another car crash or other tragic story.
Hi,
I like the layout of your blog. Please tell me how to design my blog to have a similar layout as yours.
Thanks
hi,
I have a question to ask as well as a suggestion for you, that I think will help your bum marketing efforts.
Send me a mail at m_kanayo at yahoo dot com so we can talk.
Great blog on your bum marketing experiment. I’ve added you to my favorites to check your progress. I offer a free 12 week course on “sophisticated bum marketing” that expands quite a bit on the original principle. You can see details at http://www.sophisticatedbum.info
I use Gather for link-building – they allow anchor-text links in your posts. I wouldn’t try to game it for traffic though.
Hey, My contribution: Here’s a new article directory that’s perfect for article marketing.. http://www.smarticledirectory.com
Will be back soon,
