Day 1 – This is damned hard work!
So after a day’s work (in my normal job) and with a dose of flu starting to come on, I half heartedly settled down to write my 10 articles and 2 advertisements. I started with the 2 ads for Usfreeads. I think they’re pretty good (even if I do say so myself), however I spent about an hour and a half on them. I’ve GOT to get faster at this. Anyway, the articles – first one was the hardest (took me nearly an hour – with a bit of Warrior Forum in between), but after that I got into the swing of things and actually did the next 9 in about 2 hours. Took waaaaaayyyyyy longer than I’d anticipated but I do want what I’m putting out there to be good quality. So that’s all for today. Don’t know how long it will take for my articles to be submitted but hopefully once I get the Expert Author/Platinum Author status I’ve heard articles get accepted very quickly.
Oh, I forgot to say first thing I did today was buy a cloaked domain from Namestick. I’m using this with subdomains to cloak my affiliate links on Ezinearticles.

Well done Martin and please please please keep up the blog, even if you find the quantity of work too much to sustain. I’ve dipped a toe into the Bum marketing approach and couldn’t/didn’t give it enough time to really kick in, results-wise. Therefore I’m really interested to see your results one way or the other.

How is the NameStick working for you with EA? Have you had any articles approved yet? I didn’t think that even with cloaking EA would approve the articles since it is still redirected to the CB affiliate site? Or are you going to a landing page? Congrats on the work done today…especially when you’re not feeling good!

Terry, I don’t want to say much about it, because I bought Kenneth Lindsay’s WSO and it talked all about how to do it, and I don’t want to give away his product, but there is a very good method for affiliate cloaking where you can escape detection at EZA.

No articles approved as yet but I think it takes a few days when you first start submitting to Ezinearticles. Will post when they are.

As far as cloaking goes, is URL forwarding from my domain registrar control panel enough? I heard that frame forwarding in IE7 does not preserve the CB cookies??
One tool that any affiliate marketer should not be without is an affiliate link cloaker. The service I’ve started at http://www.urlfreeze.com/ will cloak your affiliate links and help fight against affiliate link hijacking.
